Plain-language summary of how this site works today. It has not been reviewed by a lawyer; get that done before a public launch.
What we store
- Without an account: nothing about you. Names you type for email drafts stay in your browser tab and are never sent to us.
- With an account: your email, your first name, a password hash, and sign-in session data. For each plan you save: a label you choose, the major, the college, the grade, and units per term.
- We do not store a student's name, school, address, birthday, grades, or anything you write in an email draft.
Who accounts are for
Accounts are for adults (for example a parent or guardian) and for students 13–17 with a parent's permission. Children under 13 shouldn't create accounts. A parent can use the site on their behalf without entering the child's name.
Deleting your data
Sign in and use Account → Delete my account. It removes your account, email, and every saved plan immediately.
What this site is not
It's a planning aid built from public California course and degree data. It can be wrong or out of date. Confirm everything with your college's counselors and on assist.org before relying on it.
